PastorI want to thank Jayne for the “Celebrating the Family” celebration.  Mrs. Van Brink did an excellent job in Sunday School and during the worship hour sharing with us concerning our families.  The luncheon was great (thanks to everyone who had a part in making that a success) and we had a wonderful crowd in attendance. The children had a fun time at Little Monkeys (special thanks to all the adults who chaperoned) while Mom and Dad had a nice meal and heard from Clara Mae again. The day was a huge success and something that we can build on during our focus on Courageous. 
We are finishing the Courageous Bible study this week and focusing on the family during worship.  Please make your plans to be here this Sunday, February 12.  We will be presenting the Courageous Resolution and be asking our men to make their commitment to be that courageous man God has called him to be.
            I also want to thank Cliff for another wonderful Upward season.  The celebration was awesome on Monday night and we had a packed house to hear the gospel presentation.  Special thanks to Brian Campbell for his leadership and to everyone else who had any part in making this Upward season a huge success.  Pray for our follow-up team as they contact those who made decisions on Monday evening. 

                        God is doing some marvelous things here at FBC.  To Him be the Glory!!

We have items that were left in the Family Life Center and old sanctuary during Upward games and practice.  There are several children’s coats and other items.

International Mission Opportunities

Guatemala 2012 – June 16-23

Kenya, Africa - Spring 2013

Primarily we will be working at Naomi’s Village, which is an orphanage in Maai Mahiu in Kenya.  There would be time with the kids as well as work projects.  Take the opportunity to go to YouTube and watch the video Naomi’s Village – Beautiful Things. Habitat for Humanity is also in the area building homes for Internally Displaced People (IDP’s). Rift Valley Academy is a school for missionary kids about 30 minutes away, and they are working on a new church plant in the area so ministry opportunities will be limitless whether you love children, have medical experience, can build, or are just open to what God has for you.

Performances Friday through Sunday each with a full meal. 

** Students -I need you to work Friday OR Saturday and if you want to come back on Sunday that will be great too.  Wear dark pants or khakis and a white shirt.  Friday and Saturday night be here at 5:45, Sunday by 5:15

**Adults – If you are able to help one of the nights please give our coordinators Tim and Diane Tucker a call

**Thank you to the Baptist Men for building the stage and don’t forget that we will be taking it down on Monday.  There will be many more thank you's to come in the next First Edition to all the people who helped get things done for Dinner Theater.
