Long term relationships go through cycles:  ups and downs, hills and valleys, good times and bad.  That’s true in our spiritual life, too.  For many of us, our spiritual life begins with a very powerful personal relationship with Christ.  We can feel like we are on top of a mountain and have laid claim to the most important thing in all the works.  And that strong and powerful feeling can stay with us and propel us for months.

But, I don’t think I have ever found anyone who has said that they have been able to maintain that state of spiritual ecstasy throughout the entire course of their life.  Sooner or later, we find ourselves in a spiritual valley   It might be said that we “drop out” and even move in a different direction.

But those down cycles don’t last forever and more often than not there come brand-new stirrings in the heart.  What would it mean for you to “fall in love all over again” with the One whom Revelation 2:4 calls our “first love”?

As we approach the beginning of a new church year is a great time to come back home to the Lord, your first love, and renew at an even deeper and more seasoned level the most important relationship any of us will ever have in life.

See you Sunday,

Bro. Fred

Guatemala Mission Trip

June 19-26, 2010

We have had a tremendous amount of interest in another Guatemala trip for 2011 so we are in process of preparing to make that happen.  In September we will have the founder of Casa come share with us on a Sunday night and at the same time we will begin kicking off plans for June of 2011.  Space will be limited and we will begin taking deposits on that night.  Be praying for this trip and what part you will have!

Thank you so much for your prayers as we were on this year’s beach retreat.  We had an incredible movement of God as we saw several saved and four others surrender their lives to full time ministry.  Keep these students in your prayers as they move forward in their walk with God.
